Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking an Infrastructure Security Engineer (Perm, DV eligible) to own internal IT infrastructure, security operations and corporate systems. The role is on-site in Cheltenham with some future WFH potential, requiring UK security clearance through DV.

You will lead infrastructure improvements and help shape secure platforms and services for a small cyber-security R&D company.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in systems administration and IT infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Interest in cyber security and secure infrastructure practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows and Linux endpoints and device provisioning, patching, and compliance.
• Administer Microsoft 365, identity management, SSO, and user lifecycle processes.
• Operate and improve security tooling, monitor threats, and coordinate external penetration testing.
• Maintain and develop AWS infrastructure, office networking, and business IT systems.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
