Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking an experienced Security Architect with SC clearance for a remote-first role in the UK. You will lead security architecture on major defence-related programmes, embedding secure-by-design across the lifecycle and advising on information exchange and operational delivery.

The role focuses on delivering secure outcomes across multidisciplinary teams, with travel to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

5-10+ years in Security Architecture or related cyber security roles.
Strong understanding of security architecture frameworks and SbD.
Experience in defence, government or highly regulated environments.
Eligibility to hold or maintain SC Clearance; active clearance is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead security architecture activities across complex client engagements.
Apply secure-by-design principles throughout solution development and delivery.
Support transition of concepts and MVPs into production-ready solutions.
Provide technical leadership on large-scale programmes and bids.
Engage with customers to understand business and security requirements.
Collaborate with Solution Architects and engineering teams to deliver secure outcomes.
Contribute to security strategy, governance and architecture best practices.
Support defence and national security-focused projects.
