Job summary

KPMG LLP in Seattle is seeking an Associate in Infrastructure and Projects Advisory for our Deal Advisory practice. You will review, analyze, and improve construction management processes and controls, and lead contract reviews and project oversight for large capital programs.

Responsibilities include defining recommendations for policies, internal controls, reporting, and IT support; conducting project reviews on percentage complete, change orders, and productivity; and working with engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering-related field from an accredited college.
• Minimum one year of field construction management or construction advisory experience.
• Experience with full life cycle construction projects including planning, procurement, scheduling, cost estimating, QA, reporting and closeout.
• Experience using project management tools such as Procore, E- Builder, Primavera, Prolog, and other toolsets.
• Willingness to travel and authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and recommend improvements to construction management processes and internal controls.
• Lead construction contract reviews, project oversight and monitoring for large capital projects.
• Define and implement recommendations including construction management policies, procedures, processes, internal controls, roles, responsibilities, reporting, and supporting IT.
• Conduct project reviews to evaluate percentage of completion, probability of recovery for change orders and claims, reasonableness of the estimate to complete construction, schedule delays, defective specifications, and loss of productivity.
• Work with engagement teams to perform field work, collect data, analyze, and prepare narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations.
