Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Intern to support coordination, planning, and execution of large transportation projects from our Raleigh, NC office. You will work with project managers and technical specialists to help bring design-build and alternative delivery projects to life, gaining hands-on exposure to all phases of project delivery.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering/Construction degree with interest in infrastructure and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Coursework or exposure to transportation, infrastructure design, or construction management topics preferred.
• Previous internship or co‑op experience in engineering or construction is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and engineers in preparing project documentation, coordinating design deliverables, and tracking progress.
• Organize project data, maintain schedules, and prepare presentations or reports for internal and client meetings.
• Contribute to design and development of technical deliverables.
• Participate in research, data analysis, and technical studies to support design or project planning.
• Assist with proposal development and other business development initiatives as needed.
• Occasionally support site visits or construction coordination activities to observe how designs translate into real-world implementation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being of Stantec employees, clients, and the public.
