Job summary

Usherwood Office Technology is seeking an experienced IT Project Engineer to join our IT Projects Team. This hands-on role delivers technology solutions across diverse client environments and leads projects from planning to completion.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience, strong Windows Server and Microsoft tech skills, and the ability to work directly with clients on migrations, deployments, and documentation while traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT infrastructure experience in MSP/consulting environments.
• Hands-on with Windows Server and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting network infrastructure (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs).
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and migrations/upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Implement and complete infrastructure projects for clients.
• Deploy and configure firewalls, switches, wireless networks, servers, VMs, and cloud tech.
• Migrate and upgrade Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-prem infrastructure.
• Configure VLANs, routing, VPNs, DNS, DHCP and related networking tech.
• Document configurations and deliver technical transition to support teams.
• Travel to client locations as required for on-site deployments.
