Job summary

Quento Technologies S.A. seeks an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our team supporting a large‑scale AI cloud platform.

You will handle daily platform operations, incident resolution, and transition of services to the Operations team, working with Platform Engineering, Security, and Architecture groups to ensure availability and reliability. You will collaborate on automation initiatives, maintain runbooks, and participate in on‑call rotations while upholding regulatory compliance as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform operations.
• Experience with enterprise or mission‑critical infrastructure.
• Strong Linux (Ubuntu) system administration skills.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure incidents.
• Experience with operational support and change management processes.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in knowledge transfer, shadowing, and service transition activities.
• Support handover of infrastructure and platform services into Operations.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, platform, and data center incidents.
• Perform day‑to‑day operational activities across compute, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Execute operational procedures, maintenance activities, and platform upgrades.
• Monitor platform health, capacity, availability, and performance.
• Assist with backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.
• Maintain operational runbooks and SOPs.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to improve reliability.

Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Infrastructure Operations Engineerto join our Infrastructure Operations team supporting a large-scale private AI cloud platform.

This role focuses on day-to-day platform operations, incident resolution, operational support, and the successful transition of infrastructure and platform services into our Operations team. You will work closely with Platform Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams to ensure the availability, stability, and operational readiness of critical AI infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will entail:

• Participate in knowledge transfer, shadowing, and service transition activities;
• Support the successful handover of infrastructure and platform services into the Operations team;
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, platform, and data center incidents;
• Perform day-to-day operational activities across compute, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure;
• Execute operational procedures, maintenance activities, and platform upgrades
• Monitor platform health, capacity, availability, and performance;
• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities;
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures;
• Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous operational improvement;
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to improve platform reliability and operational efficiency;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform operations;
• Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical infrastructure;
• Strong Linux (Ubuntu) system administration skills;
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes;
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure incidents in production environments;
• Experience working within operational support and change management processes;
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Technical Knowledge

Essential

• Ubuntu Server / Linux;
• Kubernetes;
• Prometheus and Grafana;
• Networking fundamentals;
• Backup and recovery concepts;
• Storage fundamentals (Ceph experience is desirable).

Desirable

• Canonical OpenStack;
• MAAS and Juju;
• Terraform and Ansible;
• Azure DevOps or equivalent;
• Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Loki;
• NVIDIA GPU infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ITIL and operational support practices;

• Experience with Bash or Python scripting;
• Experience working in 24x7 enterprise operations;
• Experience working in regulated or highly available environments.

Working model: Participation in an on-call support rota and planned out-of-hours maintenance activities will be required.
