Job summary

Tier4 Group is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a VMware vCenter to Nutanix migration for ~95 virtual machines in Houston, TX. This is an 11-month contract with three days onsite per week in a hybrid environment.

You will develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies, coordinating across infrastructure, networking, and business stakeholders, and communicating with executives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
• Experience with virtualization, data center migration projects, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the VMware vCenter to Nutanix migration.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate activities across infrastructure, networking, systems engineering, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
• Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and executive communications.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Drive accountability across technical teams to keep the project on schedule.
• Manage project documentation, change control, and governance throughout the engagement.
• Minimize business disruption while ensuring a smooth and successful migration.
• Implement PMI-based project management practices and reporting.
