Job summary

Halff is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Management & GIS Senior Project Manager to join our GIS Team in north Austin, TX. You will lead water resources and infrastructure projects, manage client relationships, and drive project delivery from planning through completion.

You will mentor staff, support business development, and coordinate with subconsultants and internal teams to develop effective geospatial solutions for Texas clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, CS, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive GIS experience.
• Leadership experience with project scoping, planning, budgeting, delegation, and staff management.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro 3.x and Esri software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to mentor staff.
• Experience with QA/QC and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Halff has an opening for a highly motivated Infrastructure Management & GIS Senior Project Manager to join our GIS Team in our north Austin, TX office. The ideal candidate will have experience with asset management and/or FEMA products and will be responsible for leading water resources and infrastructure management projects.

What You Will Do

• Lead the planning, management, and delivery of infrastructure management and GIS projects.

• Support business development and sales efforts by identifying project opportunities, growing client accounts, preparing proposals, participating in interviews, and delivering client presentations.
• Represent Halff with clients, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accountability for project and program results.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of Halff’s infrastructure management and GIS practice in Texas.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive GIS experience and/or related education.
• Leadership experience involving project scoping, planning, budgeting, delegation, and staff management.
• Demonstrated experience with current Esri GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro 3.x.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and improve workflows.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing technical work and implementing QA/QC processes and programs.
• Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with database management best practices.
• Demonstrated initiative in improving processes through process improvement or automation.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to effectively evaluate and summarize project findings.
• Ability to monitor and adjust project efforts to meet task goals within established budgets.
