Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Transportation Infrastructure Maintenance Manager to oversee the Street and Drainage Divisions, managing daily operations, programs, and strategic initiatives in alignment with city policies. You will supervise foremen, monitor budgets and schedules, ensure safety compliance, coordinate with related units, and lead staff training and hiring efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Transportation Management or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in street maintenance and construction work.
• Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Class A CDL with air-breaks endorsement or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees foreman positions and manages daily operations of Street and Drainage Divisions, including workflow and KPI tracking.
• Monitors and reviews maintenance costs and project budgets.
• Tracks and maintains project schedules and related documentation.
• Approves requisitions, purchase orders, and work orders.
• Assists in preparing the annual budget and developing division programs and specifications.
• Ensures training is provided and employee information updated on Transportation Career Ladder.
• Coordinates with Equipment Maintenance and Transport Coordinator for repairs.
• Administers street resurfacing projects and reconstruction programs; inspects field work.
