Nscale is seeking an Associate, Legal (Infrastructure) — US to support the VP, Legal on construction, design, and real estate for US data centre campuses. This is an early‑career, hands‑on role with ownership from day one and a clear path to running your own negotiations.

You will draft and revise complex agreements, run issue-lists, and help manage contract templates, insurance coordination, and cross‑functional diligence as you grow expertise in data centre contracting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of construction, real estate, commercial, or infrastructure legal experience.
• Strong drafting and attention to detail.
• Curiosity and bias to ownership.
• Comfortable managing multiple workstreams at pace.
• Qualified attorney admitted in at least one US state in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Draft and revise construction, design, consultancy, and equipment supply agreements, work orders, amendments, and change orders on Nscale's templates, under guidance.
• Run first-turn reviews of counterparty markups: identify departures from house positions, prepare issues lists, and propose responses.
• Help maintain infrastructure contract templates and playbooks, tracking house positions and lessons learned across negotiations.
• Support contract administration through delivery — notices, change orders, payment and holdback issues, warranty claims, and closeout.
• Support real estate and power workstreams, including diligence on site acquisitions and leases and review of utility, interconnection, and power purchase documentation.
• Coordinate insurance and bonding deliverables and vendor compliance with the insurance team and counterparties.
• Coordinate outside counsel on scoping, budgets, and invoice review.
• Build deep expertise in data centre construction, equipment, real estate, and power contracting, taking on increasing ownership of negotiations over time.
