Job description

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Manage cloud, on-premises, hybrid infrastructure, servers, networks, storage, and virtualization environments.
  • Lead infrastructure modernization, migration, automation, and capacity-planning initiatives.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, security, and reliability of infrastructure systems.
  • Manage AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid-cloud environments and drive cloud adoption where appropriate.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change-management activities and ensure timely resolution of critical infrastructure issues.
  • Implement infrastructure security controls, access management, patching, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with application development, DevOps, cybersecurity, data, and business teams to support technology initiatives.
  • Manage infrastructure vendors, service providers, contracts, SLAs, and technology procurement.
  • Define infrastructure standards, policies, documentation, and operational best practices.
  • Monitor infrastructure costs and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor infrastructure, cloud, and systems engineers.
  • Provide technical guidance and infrastructure strategy to senior management and stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration, networking, virtualization, storage, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration-management tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, load balancing, firewalls, and routing.
  • Experience implementing high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, monitoring, and business-continuity solutions.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security, IAM, vulnerability management, patch management, and compliance practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong experience in incident management, root-cause analysis, change management, and IT service management.
  • Experience managing infrastructure projects, vendors, budgets, and service-level agreements.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP, CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, VMware, CKA, or Terraform are an advantage.
