Job summary

NYC Department of Design and Construction seeks Inter-Agency Coordinators to join the Front-End Planning – DEP/DOT Coordination teams. You will identify issues during scope development for capital infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, and roadway improvements, while coordinating with DOT, DEP, and city agencies.

You will review Sponsor designs, develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules, perform site visits, assess feasibility, and propose alternatives to drive project initiation

Qualifications

• Requires at least one year of full-time supervisory experience in project management for engineering/architectural projects; must oversee scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Civil/structural/transportation planning knowledge is essential for DEP/DOT coordination.
• Experience with capital infrastructure projects and ability to assess feasibility and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Review conceptual designs and assist in developing final project scopes, cost estimates, and baseline schedules.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (DOT, DEP, DPR, OMB, City Hall, Community Boards, officials).
• Prepare presentations and lead strategy workshops; maintain and update project-tracking in agency databases.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; or related disciplines listed in the ad

High school diploma with 5 years of project management experience
