Job summary

NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure, seeks a Senior Project Administrator to join the Program Management Unit—Manhattan/Citywide. The selected candidate will report to a Deputy Director and monitor progress through design and construction to ensure projects stay on schedule.

The role involves maintaining the agency’s project data, coordinating pre-design and design phases, preparing documents, and liaising with community boards and officials.

Qualifications

• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department of Education or recognized accrediting organization, and five years of full-time satisfactory experience managing and/or inspecting construction projects totaling at least $300,000 each year; or
• One year of such experience plus a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in engineering, architecture, construction, or related field; or
• One year of such experience plus a valid professional license (PE/RA/LA); or
• A combination of five years of education and experience as described to total five years; matriculation may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track progress from pre-design through construction to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain project data in the agency’s database throughout the project life cycle.
