Job summary

Ares Infrastructure Equity (AIE) in New York, NY is hiring an Associate to join its Investment Team. The role focuses on originating, structuring and executing investments in infrastructure assets and companies, with exposure to energy, transport, and digital infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will support financial modeling, due diligence, and investment materials, working closely with MDs and external partners while contributing to risk-adjusted returns for investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with relevant work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in private equity, project finance, investment banking, development, or power/energy infrastructure preferred.
• Strong finance and analytical abilities with strong financial modeling in Excel; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and maintenance of financial models.
• Assist with due diligence process and deal structuring/execution.
• Prepare investment committee materials and industry/research.
• Monitor and report on performance of projects and investments; analyze variances.
• Interface with portfolio companies, diligence providers, and external partners.
