Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks an Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor in Raleigh, NC to provide counsel to top management on major infrastructure matters and coordinate across organizations.

Responsibilities include leading design, engineering, and development of IT infrastructure solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, assessing risks, capacity planning, budgeting, and acting as primary vendor contact where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with 5 years of exp. Master’s degree 3 years accepted.
• Experience with software development, platform engineering, Linux, Windows, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with AWS and data replication tools such as Oracle GoldenGate and Qlik Replicate.
• Proficient in Splunk, Dynatrace, and service metrics dashboards.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management, product upgrades, and security/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead technical consultant for design, engineering and development of IT solutions.
• Lead design, analysis, development and implementation of infrastructure solutions for complex business projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on architecture and requirements.
• May create design specs and develop utility programs; resolve escalated infrastructure problems.
• Involve in risk assessments, capacity planning, budget forecasting, and network/problem diagnosis.
• May act as primary vendor contact.
• Technologies span mainframe to web, database and messaging systems.
• Provide thought leadership across multiple disciplines; be the go-to person for complex assignments.

Job description

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks an Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor for the Raleigh, NC location to provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of information technology solutions.
• Lead the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions.
• Troubleshoot and proceed on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc.
• May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise.
• Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems.
• May serve as the primary contact for vendors.
• Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving.
• Focus on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
• Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments.
• Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience. Will accept a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
• Must have experience with: software development; platform engineering; Linux; Windows; Oracle; PostgreSQL;
• Database performance tuning; AWS; data replication tools including Oracle GoldenGate and Qlik Replicate;
• Splunk; Dynatrace; service metrics dashboard creation;
• Product lifecycle management; product upgrades;
• Troubleshooting data mismatch issues; hybrid cloud environment management; network encryption setup; and security compliance.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
