Job summary

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Database Administration Senior Advisor to provide counsel to top management on major DBA matters and to coordinate across organizations on complex database initiatives.

You will develop the most complex database systems, design data models, tune performance, and manage vendor relationships while leading project teams and applying Gen AI and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with 3 years of database administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of database administration experience.
• Must have experience with SolarWinds Orion, AWS, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
• Database performance tuning; data replication tools including Oracle GoldenGate, Qlik Replicate, and IBM InfoSphere Data Replication.
• Splunk; Dynatrace; service metrics dashboard creation.
• Product lifecycle management; product upgrades; troubleshooting data mismatch issues; hybrid cloud environment management.
• Creating solutions using Generative AI (Gen AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs); network encryption setup; and security compliance.
• If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, internet connection must use cable or fiber with speeds at least 10Mbps down / 5Mbps up.

• Review systems under development and related documentation.
• May participate in vendor selection and relationship management.
• Lead project teams, monitoring project schedules and costs.
• Focus on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
• Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Database Administration assignments.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in any database administration role. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience.
• Must have experience with: SolarWinds Orion; AWS; Oracle; PostgreSQL;
• Database performance tuning; data replication tools including Oracle GoldenGate, Qlik Replicate, and IBM InfoSphere Data Replication;
• Splunk; Dynatrace; service metrics dashboard creation;
• Product lifecycle management; product upgrades; troubleshooting data mismatch issues; hybrid cloud environment management;
• Creating solutions using Generative AI (Gen AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs); network encryption setup; and security compliance.
• If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
