Job summary

Sentry, based in San Francisco, seeks an Engineering Manager for Infrastructure Engineering to lead a team building internal control platforms, configuration automation, and the routing layer that underpins Sentry's architecture.

You will own technical vision, team health, system reliability, and cross-functional partnerships, guiding multi-year initiatives to ensure scalable, reliable tooling for product engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with emphasis on internal tooling or distributed systems.
• 4+ years of engineering management experience, including leading teams.
• Experience as a Tech Lead or EM shaping architecture of internal control platforms.
• Strong Python skills and backend/full-stack background.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team building internal control platforms and tooling powering Sentry's growth.
• Shape the evolution of the infrastructure platform and environment controls.
• Own technical direction, API architecture, and tooling design decisions.
• Coach and develop engineers across levels, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Partner with Production, SRE, and Developer Infra to align priorities.
• Ensure reliability, adoption, and roadmaps for the team's tools.
