Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the MetalDev RAS team within Hardware Engineering Dev. You will own both team health and system health, setting direction and driving operational excellence for reliable, scalable bare-metal infrastructure.

You will balance hands-on leadership with people development, maintaining an on-call culture and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance infrastructure at scale.

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading software/infrastructure/SRE teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead people development; hire, coach, and grow a team of infrastructure/SRE engineers.
• Run 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development; set clear goals and hold the team accountable.
• Maintain a healthy, sustainable on-call culture and balanced team workload.
• Own the reliability, availability, and serviceability of the MetalDev RedFish services in production.
• Define and drive KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs for the team, aligning with reliability objectives.
• Champion system observability using Prometheus and Grafana to detect bottlenecks before incidents.
• Set automation strategy to streamline incident detection and recovery, reducing toil.
• Drive the team to reduce on-call queries and incidents through systemic improvements.
• Oversee server hardware lifecycle through automation, dashboards, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on platform reliability, resilience, and disaster recovery.
• Plan and prioritize with dependencies and vendors; engage with upstream communities.
