Job summary

Civil Science is seeking motivated Infrastructure Interns for Summer 2027 in Utah. You will support transportation, municipal, utility projects and work with engineers, technicians, inspectors, and survey professionals on real infrastructure tasks.

As an intern, you’ll gain exposure to planning, design, and construction, receive mentorship, and have opportunities to take initiative and contribute meaningfully while developing essential engineering and communication skills for your career.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related program.
• Are interested in transportation, construction, or public infrastructure.
• A willingness to learn, ask questions, take initiative, and take ownership of your work.
• Strong communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented approach.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bluebeam is a plus.
• The ability to pass a background check and driving-record review.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of transportation, municipal, utility, and other public infrastructure projects.
• Assist engineers and project teams with plans, drawings, quantities, and technical tasks.
• Gain experience using industry software
• Communicate with project managers, contractors, clients, and other team members.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
