Job summary

CACI International is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to apply interdisciplinary engineering skills for planning, integration, and validation of infrastructure solutions. The role emphasizes virtualization, scripting, Linux, and complex system architectures, with onsite support in a classified environment.

You will develop automation scripts and maintain documentation while collaborating with teammates to resolve issues and advance mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (US Citizen).
• Willingness to work onsite in a classified laboratory environment.
• Working knowledge of VMware and virtual machine configuration.
• Proficiency with Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu).
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, Python).
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems independently.
• Understanding of system of systems concepts, IaaS, and complex architectures.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Understanding of basic engineering principles and best practices.
• Ability to explain facts, policies and practices related to virtualized infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Combat System functionality and Aegis capabilities is a plus.
• Programming or development experience.
• VMware or IaaS certifications.
• Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Active SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and troubleshoot the system’s virtualized environment using VMware.
• Support the design and implementation of VM configurations based on system requirements, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Develop and implement network architecture according to specifications and requirements.
• Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python to automate system configuration and deployment.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to resolve technical issues and share knowledge.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the system of systems architecture, IaaS components, and complex system interdependencies.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems.
• Support systems integration activities for the virtualized environment.
