HCSC is seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot performance issues, and manage Teradata-based systems. You will engage in design, deployment, and operation of end-to-end infrastructure with a focus on stability, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include upgrades, DR planning, automation collaboration, and cross-functional coordination across global teams. A strong background in Teradata architecture and ITIL practices is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience with certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement end-to-end infrastructure solutions with defined targets.
• Install, configure, administer, operate, and support Teradata platform technologies.
• Ensure stability, security, and operational viability of infrastructure products.
• Support Teradata upgrades, patches, migrations, backups, and DR activities.
• Coordinate with onshore/offshore teams to drive infrastructure builds.
• Monitor health, availability, capacity, and performance of Teradata environments.
• Troubleshoot database, application, and infrastructure issues; perform RCAs.
• Collaborate with DevOps to support automation and provisioning improvements.
• Develop runbooks, procedures, and support materials with cross-functional teams.
• Design pilot solutions and implement new platform features and enhancements.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks affecting availability or SLAs.
• Participate in Level 3 support, on-call rotations, and incident management.

This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting performance issues, managing database and infrastructure activities, and ensuring the stability, availability, and efficiency of Teradata-based systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of Teradata architecture, and experience in database support and platform administration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end Infrastructure solutions and blueprints as part of a cross-functional team with defined service targets and cost models.
• Provide technical depth in the installation, configuration, administration, operations, and support of Teradata platform technologies within the area of responsibility.
• Ensure integration, stability, security, and operational viability of Infrastructure products and Teradata platform services.
• Support Teradata upgrades, patches, migrations, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to drive Infrastructure builds, support platform operations, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Support day-to-day operational activities for Teradata environments, including monitoring system health, availability, capacity, and performance metrics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database, application, and infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions where appropriate.
• Work with DevOps and Automation Engineering teams to support Infrastructure automation initiatives and maintain existing automation solutions to improve provisioning and operational efficiency.
• Participate in the development of Operational Readiness documentation, runbooks, procedures, and support materials as part of a cross-functional team
• Design and build pilot solutions utilizing new technologies and implement new product features and platform enhancements.
• Identify and elevate risks, performance bottlenecks, and operational concerns that may impact platform availability or service levels.
• Participate in Level 3 support, on-call rotations, and incident management activities for the technology area.

Required Job Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree and 2 years in Information Technology or relevant experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 4 year Information Technology experience OR 6 years Information Technology experience.
