Job summary

GSD Technologies is seeking a mid-level Project Engineer to oversee and optimize our core infrastructure, including networking, storage, and server platforms. You will own engineering responsibilities for Meraki, UniFi, Synology, and related backup and virtualization systems, while coordinating with Service Desk and Senior Engineers.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform planned deployments, and maintain comprehensive documentation and diagrams.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive experience in systems administration, network engineering, infrastructure support, or managed services.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, and common infrastructure services.
• Experience with Meraki, UniFi, or comparable network platforms.
• Experience supporting backup, BDR, NAS, replication, or storage platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own primary infrastructure platforms and act as engineering owner for assigned technologies.
• Troubleshoot network, server, backup, storage, power, and communications issues.
• Perform planned changes, deployments, and documentation updates.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or architects as needed.
• Provide structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in ticketing systems.
• Lead or participate in project implementations and onboarding activities.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, and lifecycle documentation.
