Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking an infrastructure engineer to design, automate, monitor, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across branch, data center and cloud in a secure, highly available banking environment.

You will build reusable automation with Ansible, Python, Bash, Terraform and PowerShell, implement Network as Code, manage CI/CD for deployments, and collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud and application teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent IT/CS/Engineering background.
• 2+ years in enterprise network engineering or infra operations.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DNS/DHCP.
• Hands-on scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell or Ansible.
• Experience with IaC and Network as Code practices.
• Familiarity with Terraform and API integrations.
• GitHub or similar version control experience.
• Banking/financial services experience preferred.
• Industry certs: CCNA/CCNP/Network+/DevNet/AWS/Azure networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infra across branches, data centers, and cloud.
• Develop and maintain network automation using Ansible, Python, Bash, Terraform, or PowerShell.
• Build scripts and pipelines to streamline provisioning, config, compliance, and ops.
• Integrate network tools via APIs and automation frameworks.
• Configure and optimize routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; address issues proactively.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for high availability and performance.
• Participate in architecture planning and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and apps teams; maintain docs in Confluence.
• Use Jira for tasks, projects, changes, and sprint workflows.
