Job summary

Associated Bank seeks an automation-focused Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, automate, monitor, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure in a secure financial environment.

The role combines networking excellence with scripting and automation to improve efficiency, scalability, reliability, and compliance across branches, data centers, and cloud. Collaboration with cybersecurity, cloud, and systems teams is key.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure operations.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
• Hands-on with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ansible for automation.
• Experience with IaC and Network as Code methodologies.
• Familiar with Terraform and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure across environments.
• Develop and maintain network automation solutions and pipelines.
• Integrate networks via APIs and automation frameworks.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing, switching, firewall, and wireless.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; preempt issues.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and optimization for high availability.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, cloud, and apps teams.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks in Confluence; manage tasks in Jira.
