Description
Position Overview: The Infrastructure Engineer II is responsible for designing, building, deploying, implementing, configuring, upgrading, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administering Vibrant Credit Union's mission-critical server technology software and hardware infrastructure.
What You Will Do
- Manage the design and detailed architecture of Vibrant infrastructure and network to support organizational growth; make recommendations for change.
- Lead and participate in planning, design, technical review, and implementation of new IT systems, including services, applications, integrations, automation, and new offerings.
- Build and implement tools, processes, and sequencing for organizational changes like mergers or data center migrations.
- Resolve issues related to infrastructure design, performance, capacity, and sizing.
- Provide second and third-level escalated technical support, including system evaluation, monitoring, response time analysis, and operational problem resolution.
- Create and maintain all design and implementation documentation.
- Stay current on technological and financial trends, cost optimization, and emerging technologies.
- Recommend future infrastructure designs and product roadmaps.
- Maintain disaster recovery and backup plans to ensure zero data loss.
- Support Microsoft licensing and data center relationships, escalating issues when necessary.
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including its design, administration, migration, and maintenance.
- Oversee the design and implementation of file storage solutions.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel up to 10% and lift over 50 lbs.
- Availability for support during non-standard hours and participation in on-call rotations.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and applications.
- Experience with Windows Active Directory, Linux, PowerShell scripting, VMware ESX, Azure/Office 365, enterprise application deployment, and infrastructure design.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role operates in a professional office environment, requiring use of standard office equipment and physical activities such as walking, reaching, lifting, and sitting. Must be able to read print and digital materials accurately.
