Rea Magnet Wire Corp in Lafayette, IN seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple plants. You will manage virtualization, storage, DR, and networking with a hands-on approach and collaborate with security and Support & Systems teams.

The role requires five years in infrastructure engineering, strong Windows/Linux administration, cloud experience (Azure), and scripting (PowerShell).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of infra engineering or systems administration, preferably in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with server virtualization, storage, and DR (Veeam or similar).
• Strong networking knowledge: VLANs, SD-WAN, routing, switching; firewall changes.
• Windows Server and Linux administration for ERP/database workloads.
• Cloud/hybrid infra experience (Azure) and directory services (AD/Entra ID).
• Scripting/automation (PowerShell); IaC and configuration-management concepts.
• IT/OT network segmentation awareness on the plant floor.
• Certs (e.g., Network+/Security+, Azure, Cisco, VMware) a plus.
• Analytical, problem-solving skills; occasional travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Builds, configures, and maintains virtualized servers, compute, cloud, and storage per standards.
• Administers Windows Server and Linux OS and related ERP/database infrastructure.
• Implements backup, DR, and recovery with tools like Veeam; participates in DR testing.
• Designs and maintains LAN/WAN/SD-WAN and network segmentation; documents infrastructure.
• Maintains enterprise WLAN per segmentation and security standards.
• Applies changes to firewall and network configurations; coordinates with security team.
• Keeps IT boundaries aligned with OT; coordinates boundary changes with OT team.
• Applies hardening baselines; patches; remediates vulnerabilities.
• Automates provisioning/config with PowerShell and IaC; reduces manual effort.
• Oversees contractors on infrastructure projects when external help is needed.
