Job summary

Rea Magnet Wire is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support the company’s enterprise infrastructure across multiple plants. You will manage compute, storage, virtualization, networking, DR, and cloud services with a focus on reliability and security.

The role combines hands-on implementation with ongoing support, including collaboration with cybersecurity and end‑user support teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Five years of infrastructure engineering or systems administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with server virtualization, enterprise storage, and backup/DR.
• Strong networking knowledge: switching, routing, VLANs, WAN/SD-WAN.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux host administration.
• Cloud experience (Azure) and directory services (AD/Entra ID).
• Scripting and automation (PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code familiarity.
• Industry certifications a plus.
• Willingness for occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Builds, configures, and maintains virtualized server, compute, cloud, and enterprise storage environments to defined architecture and capacity standards.
• Administers Windows Server and Linux hosts and patches ERP/database infrastructure.
• Implements and supports backup, immutable and offsite replication, and disaster recovery systems; participates in DR testing.
• Maintains LAN, WAN/SD‑WAN, and network segmentation; documents infrastructure.
• Maintains enterprise wireless infrastructure to defined segmentation and security standards.
• Implements approved network connectivity, routing, and segmentation changes; updates firewall configurations.
• Maintains IT-side infrastructure up to IT/OT boundary and coordinates security policy with OT.
• Applies server/infrastructure hardening baselines and patches; remediates vulnerabilities.
• Automates provisioning, configuration, and maintenance to improve consistency.
• Oversees contractors on infrastructure projects and provides escalation support.
