Job Description:

The Opportunity:

CACI seeks a versatile Infrastructure Engineer to support the Federal Protective Service (FPS) across multiple locations including Washington DC Metro Area, Philadelphia, Denver, and Michigan. The role involves significant travel and responsibilities include deploying, operating, and maintaining network and systems infrastructure supporting government functions such as voice, data, and video services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, manage, and maintain enterprise network environments with Cisco routers, switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Administer Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Manage Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, and network services.
• Implement vulnerability management programs and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Develop and manage patch management processes using WSUS or SCCM.
• Monitor and optimize network and system performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG.
• Create and maintain documentation such as SOPs, network diagrams, and configurations.
• Work within ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) using tools like ServiceNow.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure security compliance.
• Analyze requirements, validate system architectures, and advise on infrastructure best practices.
• Adhere to standards, policies, and procedures, staying current with technology trends.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance and DHS Entry On Duty (EOD) clearance.
• BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or 14 years of experience without a degree.
• Willingness to travel within the specified regions.
• Certifications: CCNP or equivalent, Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.
• Experience with Cisco routing/switching, firewalls, Windows Server, Active Directory, Nutanix, Azure, vulnerability and patch management, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team; excellent communication skills.

Desired:

• Certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Nutanix NCP.
• Experience with Cisco SDA, DNA Center, NGFW features, scripting languages, multi-domain environments, additional cloud platforms, and DHS/DoD familiarity.
