Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• 3 years of full-time experience performing architectural drafting and design technician work using CAD software.
• Experience with corridor models and 3D surface creation.
• Note: An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests for engineering information by locating maps, plans, utility data, right-of-way records, easements, and related materials.
• Performs design and drafting of construction drawings for public streets, utilities, water and sewer systems, reservoirs, pump stations, and related public works facilities.
• Produces plans and profiles for grading, curb and gutter, sidewalks, water and sewer lines, and lift/pump station components.
• Prepares topographic maps by plotting and interpreting contours from survey field notes.
• Performs calculations related to irregular areas, volumes, materials, rights-of-way, and construction requirements.
• Computes gross and net areas, ownership data, and right-of-way information to support City project development.
• Provides technical support to construction personnel, consulting engineers, and members of the public.
• Obtains project approvals and coordinates documents with applicable local, state, and federal agencies.
