  • Establish and maintain a robust investment process and governance for internally sourced transactions.
  • Monitor portfolio performance through quarterly/annual reviews and report on industry trends.
  • Stay informed about key players and market developments to contribute to investment views and strategies.

About The Role

As a valued member of our private infrastructure debt team, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our lending operations in the North American infrastructure finance market. You'll be involved in the complete investment lifecycle - from origination and due diligence to execution and portfolio management - giving you broad exposure to this exciting asset class.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Review and assess directly originated infrastructure debt deals across a board spectrum of infrastructure sectors including digital infrastructure, renewables, energy, transportation, and social infrastructure
  • Analyze infrastructure debt transactions which includes financial modeling, legal, technical and market due diligence
  • Develop and write investment credit memoranda which forms an integral part of the investment committee process
  • Establish and maintain a robust investment process and governance framework for internally sourced transactions
  • Monitor portfolio performance through quarterly/annual reviews, analysis of the existing portfolio, and reporting on industry trends
  • Stay informed about key players and market developments, contributing to investment views and strategies
  • Participate actively in regular investment meetings and foster a team-oriented atmosphere of collaboration
About The Team

The Infrastructure Debt team at Swiss Re Group Asset Management is responsible for identifying and executing attractive private infrastructure debt investments across various sectors and geographies. Our team works collaboratively to source, analyze, and manage a growing portfolio of infrastructure assets that provide stable, long-term returns for our clients while contributing to essential infrastructure development worldwide.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Meet These Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in banking, asset management or equivalent experience in an infrastructure finance department, preferably in a front-office role
  • Strong understanding of technical, legal, commercial and accounting aspects of infrastructure projects, including credit assessment, transaction modelling and execution
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including pertinent software know-how
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
Additional Nice To Haves
  • Experience with sustainable or ESG-focused infrastructure investments
  • Understanding of insurance company investment requirements
  • Experience in different infrastructure sectors (energy, transport, social, digital, etc.)

Our company uses a hybrid work model requiring at least three days in the office each week, with the option to work onsite full-time if preferred. This position is not eligible for full-time telework or visa sponsorship, including OPT.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $112,000 to $168,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
