Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an AVP to join its Infrastructure Debt team in New York. You will evaluate, underwrite, and execute debt investments across North America in digital infrastructure, power, renewables, transportation and social infrastructure.

You will work in a lean, collaborative investment team with direct exposure to senior professionals, gaining meaningful responsibility from day one and contributing to a rapidly expanding platform in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure finance, debt investing or related field.
• Interest in infrastructure and real asset investing.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
• Experience supporting transaction execution, underwriting or investment evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and execute infrastructure debt opportunities across North America.
• Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses and underwriting materials.
• Conduct industry, market and company research to support recommendations.
• Perform credit analysis, due diligence and risk assessments.
• Prepare investment memoranda and internal presentations.

What You'll Do:

• Evaluate and execute infrastructure debt investment opportunities across North America
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and underwriting materials
• Conduct industry, market, and company research to support investment recommendations
• Perform credit analysis, due diligence, and risk assessments on prospective investments
• Prepare investment memoranda, committee materials, and internal presentations
• Support transaction execution from initial screening through closing
• Monitor portfolio investments and provide ongoing performance analysis
• Work closely with senior investment professionals on sourcing, structuring, and portfolio management initiatives
• Participate in discussions with sponsors, lenders, advisors, and management teams

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure finance, debt investing, private credit, or a related field
• Demonstrated interest in infrastructure and real asset investing
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
• Experience supporting transaction execution, underwriting, or investment evaluation processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
