Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects, LLC is seeking an experienced professional to lead project controls and scheduling for major capital programs in the United States. You will shape the planning approach, integrate cost and schedule data, and drive timely performance reviews with stakeholders.

You will coordinate with engineers, project managers, and cost teams to ensure accurate baselines, risk mitigation, and readiness across design, procurement, and construction phases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project controls and schedule management.
• Experience supporting design and construction project management for medium-to-large capital programs.
• Strong knowledge of critical path method scheduling, schedule health analysis, and schedule risk identification.
• Ability to analyze EPC plans and schedules, identify trends, and clearly communicate mitigation strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to self-direct, solve problems, and operate effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

• Establish a project-wide progress measurement and reporting system with roll-up structures.
• Generate and present schedule reports and updates to stakeholders.
• Support project closeout planning and other duties; some in-person collaboration with clients and teams.

The Work

• You’ll develop and implement the project planning and scheduling controls strategy, including roles for both BP and contractors.
• You’ll adhere to financial, business, and project processes across all project stages.
• You’ll provide schedules to support accurate estimating, benchmarking, and interface planning.
• You’ll coordinate internal and external schedule benchmarks and ensure readiness for future phases.
• You’ll prepare and manage the WBS/CBS in collaboration with the Cost Engineer.
• You’ll implement and monitor detailed and summary schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
• You’ll develop and integrate schedule risk analysis and mitigation plans into the risk and change processes.
• You’ll establish a project‑wide progress measurement and reporting system with clear roll‑up structures.
• You’ll generate and present schedule reports and project updates to relevant stakeholders.
• You’ll support project closeout planning and perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project controls and time/schedule management.
• Experience supporting design and construction project management for medium‑to‑large capital programs.
• Strong knowledge of critical path method scheduling, schedule health analysis, and schedule risk identification.
• Ability to analyze EPC plans and schedules, identify trends, and clearly communicate mitigation strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to self‑direct, solve problems, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced project environment.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Data center design and construction delivery experience.
• Proficient and expert‑level experience using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Acumen Suite).
• Schedule risk analysis experience and familiarity with related planning tools.
• Experience supporting executive reporting, recovery planning, or schedule governance in complex capital programs.
• Organized and detail‑oriented.

$140,000 - $165,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
