Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking an experienced project controls professional in the United States to lead scheduling across large capital programs. You will develop and enforce the project planning and scheduling controls strategy, coordinating with design teams, contractors, and Cost Engineers to ensure readiness and performance.

You will apply CPM techniques, drive schedule health analyses, and integrate risk mitigation into change processes while providing clear updates

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project controls and time/schedule management.
• Experience supporting design and construction for medium‑to‑large capital programs.
• Strong knowledge of critical path method scheduling, schedule health analysis, and schedule risk identification.
• Ability to analyze EPC plans and communicate mitigation strategies clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project planning and scheduling controls strategy for the project, including roles for BP and contractors.
• Adhere to financial, business, and project processes across all project stages.
• Provide schedules to support estimating, benchmarking, and interface planning.
• Coordinate schedule benchmarks and ensure readiness for future phases.
• Prepare and manage the WBS/CBS with Cost Engineer.
• Implement and monitor detailed and summary schedules throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop and integrate schedule risk analysis and mitigation into risk and change processes.
• Establish a project‑wide progress measurement and reporting system with clear roll‑up structures.
• Generate and present schedule reports and project updates to stakeholders.
• Support project closeout planning and other duties as assigned.
• Some in‑person collaboration with clients and team members.

What You’ll Need

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project controls and time/schedule management.
• Experience supporting design and construction project management for medium‑to‑large capital programs.
• Strong knowledge of critical path method scheduling, schedule health analysis, and schedule risk identification.
• Ability to analyze EPC plans and schedules, identify trends, and clearly communicate mitigation strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to self‑direct, solve problems, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced project environment.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Data center design and construction delivery experience.
• Proficient and expert‑level experience using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Acumen Suite).
• Schedule risk analysis experience and familiarity with related planning tools.
• Experience supporting executive reporting, recovery planning, or schedule governance in complex capital programs.
• Organized and detail‑oriented.

$140,000 - $165,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
