Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects, LLC is seeking a senior project-controls professional to lead planning and scheduling across major capital programs. You will develop planning controls, manage CPM schedules, and collaborate with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project controls and time/schedule management.
  • Experience supporting design and construction management for medium-to-large capital programs.
  • Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling, schedule health analysis, and schedule risk identification.
  • Ability to analyze EPC plans and communicate mitigation strategies.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the project planning and scheduling controls strategy for projects.
  • Adhere to financial, business, and project processes across all project stages.
  • Provide schedules to support estimating, benchmarking, and interface planning.
  • Coordinate internal and external schedule benchmarks and ensure readiness for future phases.
  • Prepare and manage the WBS/CBS in collaboration with the Cost Engineer.
  • Implement and monitor detailed and summary schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and integrate schedule risk analysis and mitigation plans into the risk and change processes.
  • Establish a project-wide progress measurement and reporting system with clear roll-up structures.
  • Generate and present schedule reports and project updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support project closeout planning and perform other duties as assigned.
  • With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities.

The Work

What You’ll Need
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project controls and time/schedule management.
  • Experience supporting design and construction project management for medium‑to‑large capital programs.
  • Strong knowledge of critical path method scheduling, schedule health analysis, and schedule risk identification.
  • Ability to analyze EPC plans and schedules, identify trends, and clearly communicate mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to self‑direct, solve problems, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced project environment.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Data center design and construction delivery experience.
  • Proficient and expert‑level experience using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Acumen Suite).
  • Schedule risk analysis experience and familiarity with related planning tools.
  • Experience supporting executive reporting, recovery planning, or schedule governance in complex capital programs.
  • Organized and detail‑oriented.

$140,000 - $165,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
