Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects in Washington, DC is seeking a cost-focused professional to prepare estimates and cost plans for complex capital projects. You will develop life-cycle costing options, identify risks, and support pre-contract processes with senior colleagues.

Join a team blending traditional project controls with digital innovation to optimize project efficiency. You will maintain cost control reports, attend client meetings, and contribute to standardized templates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in cost/construction related field.
• Minimum 2 years of cost management experience.
• Experience in hyper-scale data centers is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of construction processes and management techniques, methods, and materials.
• Proficiency in CostX to produce estimates, bills, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and cost plans, incorporating benchmarking data.
• Develop value engineering and life-cycle costing options to optimize project efficiency.
• Identify potential risks and help maintain the project’s Risk Register.
• Contribute to pre-contract process meetings, offering cost-related insights.
• Create and manage cost control reports to track financial performance.
• Attend client meetings with senior colleagues and document key points and actions.
• Participate in design team meetings, assess cost implications, and implement outcomes.
• Assist in developing standardized project templates for documentation.
• Prepare and manage change order logs, invoice logs, and cost reports.
• Oversee measurements and pricing research for development appraisals and qualification reviews.

Location

• The work location will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client, or in an Accenture office or center.
• Some in‑person time is required for collaboration, learning, and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. We will support your specific work/life needs with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, or another cost/construction focused field.
• 2+ years of minimum cost management experience.
• Experience working in hyper‑scale data centers is a plus.
• Thorough and complete knowledge of construction processes and management techniques, methods, and materials.
• Proficiency in advanced functions in CostX to produce estimates, bills, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) at an appropriate level.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Organized and detail oriented.
