Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects, LLC is seeking a cost-focused professional to build and maintain cost models, perform scenario analysis, and prepare cash flow estimates for the monthly PE process.

You will analyze cost and schedule impacts of scope changes, monitor budgets, and provide accurate cost reporting and trends. Onsite at client sites, you will collaborate with internal and client teams to ensure budget adherence and forecast reliability.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Direct cost analysis experience with Utility projects or large ($300M+) programs.
  • Understanding of commercial agreements and contracting strategies.
  • Understanding of how project schedules impact cost forecasting and integration.
  • Proficient and expert experience in Cognos, Power BI, Maximo, Power Plan, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cost models, run scenario analyses, and prepare cash flow estimates.
  • Analyze cost and schedule impacts of scope changes; present results clearly.
  • Monitor budgets and actuals; provide cost reporting, trends, and corrective actions.
  • Interface with project teams to support cost control, analysis, and reporting.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities; track monthly spend for earned value and forecast reliability.
  • Perform forensic analysis on spend and forecasts to ensure budget adherence.
  • Lead or assist in developing and maintaining the Issue and Risk Register and Cost QRAs.
  • Utilize Cognos, Power BI, Maximo, and Power Plan to analyse data and prepare presentations.
  • Document thoroughly to meet ROD, prudency reviews, PSC filings, Change Orders, and other requirements.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment through meetings, inspections, and field observations.

THE WORK:
  • You’ll build and maintain cost models, perform scenario analysis, and prepare cash flow estimates to support the monthly present estimate (PE) process.
  • You’ll analyze cost and schedule impacts of scope changes and trends, delivering clear presentations of numerical analysis.
  • You’ll monitor and update project budgets and actuals, provide accurate financial and cost reporting, perform trending analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • You’ll interface with internal and external project teams to support cost control monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
  • You’ll provide cost management support by identifying gaps and opportunities, recommending improvements to cost engineering data standards, and tracking monthly spend for earned value and forecast predictability.
  • You’ll perform forensic analysis on project spend and forecasts to ensure budget adherence.
  • You’ll lead or assist in developing and maintaining the Issue and Risk Register, as well as Cost Quantitative Risk Analyses (QRAs).
  • You’ll utilize COGNOS, Power BI, Maximo, and Power Plan to perform analyses, interpret outputs, and prepare data-driven presentations.
  • You’ll demonstrate strong documentation, technical writing, and organizational skills to meet ROD requirements, prudency reviews, deposition hearings, PSC filings, Change Order processes, and other legal requirements, while applying solid document management skills.
  • You’ll demonstrate commitment to safety through active participation in safety meetings, inspections, and field observations.

The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

$128,000 - $162,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
