Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior software engineer to lead infrastructure automation for private cloud services. You will own the code base, define architecture, and build world-class APIs while aligning with an Infrastructure as Code strategy.

You will collaborate with the infrastructure engineering team, drive Agile processes with Jira, and mentor a team of six developers to deliver reliable automation across deployments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Proficiency in orchestrating workflows using Ansible.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong focus on testing and reliability, including automated integration/validation testing.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the software code base for infrastructure automation routines.
• Definition of coding strategy and ownership of code review routines.
• Development of world class APIs to enable interaction with other systems.
• Day to day work allocation and tracking for a team of half a dozen developers.
• Ensure adherence of the team to a robust release cycle process.
• Support/mentor/coach for the team on design and best practices for high code performance.
• Interaction with infrastructure engineering team to understand desired outcomes and deliver accordingly.
• Deliver work using an Agile methodology and use Jira for tracking.
• Development of automated regression testing to streamline release cycles.
