Job summary

RISA is hiring an infrastructure automation engineer to build and run the platform our customer's mission depends on. If you have been doing serious Kubernetes, Ansible, and Linux work and you hold a TS/SCI, this is the rare role that pays you for both. You will talk to the owner here, not a recruiting queue.

You will design, build, and maintain virtualization and containerized infrastructure, onboarding dev teams onto Kubernetes, and automating the server lifecycle. This on-site role in St.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience; equivalents accepted.
• IAT Level II, ability to obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support within 120 days.
• Advanced Linux and 4+ years in Kubernetes, Ansible, YAML, Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Willingness to work on-call including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, and maintenance of virtualized and containerized infrastructure.

• Build and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure and onboard development teams onto it.
• Administer Ansible and Salt, and write the documentation and training around them.
• Keep CI/CD performant and current; run root cause analysis on escalated issues.
• Work directly with customers from planning through maintenance.

Clearance Required to Start: Active TS/SCI (U.S. citizenship required)

Additional Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government polygraph (post-hire requirement).

Travel: Less than 10%, local

Salary Range: $101,000 – $111,000

What You'll Bring

• Education and experience, per the contract labor category criteria: Bachelor's degree in a field applicable to the position plus 6 years of relevant experience. Equivalents accepted - Master's plus 4, Associate's plus 8, or High School diploma/GED plus 10.
• IAT Level II, and the ability to obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support within 120 days of hire.
• Advanced Linux, and 4+ years in one or more of: Kubernetes; Salt or Ansible; YAML, Python, Bash, or Ruby; Git.
• Willingness to work an on-call rotation including nights and weekends.
