Job summary

RISA is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, build, and operate a mission-critical Kubernetes and automation stack in St. Louis, MO on-site.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes, Ansible, Salt, and Linux with an active TS/SCI clearance. You will lead automation across the server lifecycle, onboard development teams, maintain CI/CD, and interact with customers from planning through maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalents (Master's +4, Associate's +8, or HS diploma +10).
• IAT Level II certification required, ability to obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support within 120 days.
• U.S. citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required.

Additional Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government polygraph (post-hire requirement).

Travel: Less than 10%, local

Salary Range: $101,000 – $111,000

RISA is hiring an infrastructure automation engineer to build and run the platform our customer's mission depends on. If you have been doing serious Kubernetes, Ansible, and Linux work and you hold a TS/SCI, this is the rare role that pays you for both. You will talk to the owner here, not a recruiting queue.

What You Will Do

• Lead the design, build, and maintenance of virtualized and containerized infrastructure.
• Mature automation across the server lifecycle - onboarding, patching, sunsetting.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure and onboard development teams onto it.
• Administer Ansible and Salt, and write the documentation and training around them.
• Keep CI/CD performant and current; run root cause analysis on escalated issues.
• Work directly with customers from planning through maintenance.

What You'll Bring

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI.
• Education and experience, per the contract labor category criteria: Bachelor's degree in a field applicable to the position plus 6 years of relevant experience. Equivalents accepted - Master's plus 4, Associate's plus 8, or High School diploma/GED plus 10.
• IAT Level II, and the ability to obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support within 120 days of hire.
• Advanced Linux, and 4+ years in one or more of: Kubernetes; Salt or Ansible; YAML, Python, Bash, or Ruby; Git.
• Willingness to work an on-call rotation including nights and weekends.
