American Century Investments in Kansas City, MO invites applications for an Infrastructure Automation Engineer Intern on our Infrastructure & Operations team. This 10-week, full-time onsite internship runs June 2 through August 6 and offers hands-on automation experience in a modern IT environment.

You will design, develop, and deploy automation scripts, collaborate with engineers, and apply software engineering principles to build scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Incoming senior undergraduate in CS/IT/MIS or related field.
• Basic understanding of infrastructure components (servers, networks, virtualization, cloud).
• Familiarity with SDLC and APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development and deployment of automation scripts and tools for infrastructure operations.
• Collaborate with team to identify repetitive tasks and propose automation solutions.
• Support monitoring and alerting to improve visibility of infrastructure health.
• Participate in projects involving cloud services, virtualization, networking, and server management.
• Document automation workflows and configurations.
• Apply IT operations and change management best practices.

The deadline to apply is November 1, 2026.Location: this onsite position will be based out of our Kansas City, MO office.Program dates: June 2nd – August 6th (10 weeks).Work schedule: 40 hours/week - Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm).This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
