Job summary

American Century Investments is seeking Software Developer Interns to gain hands-on experience building solutions in HTML, JavaScript, Python, Java, SQL, and cloud technologies. You’ll collaborate with experienced developers across IT, Investment Management, and Corporate Functions on meaningful projects in a dynamic environment.

The program runs June 2–August 6, 2027, with a 40-hour workweek, onsite at our Kansas City, MO office, and is open to rising seniors graduating December 2027–Spring

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng or related field.
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript, Python and Java.
• Experience with SQL and cloud technologies preferred.

• Develop and maintain software applications using Python, Java and JavaScript.
• Work with SQL databases or APIs to design and optimize queries.
• Assist in deployment and management of cloud-based applications.

The deadline to apply is November 1, 2026.Location: this onsite position will be based out of our Kansas City, MO office.Program dates: June 2nd – August 6th (10 weeks).Work schedule: 40 hours/week - Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm).This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
