This role is responsible for leading the software development of infrastructure automation routines which support building infrastructure that private cloud services are delivered on. Key responsibilities of the role include defining the programming architecture and languages, setting strategy for how code is delivered, and implementing routines to ensure that code that is delivered adheres to a common standard. Solutions should be entirely API based and form part of the wider Infrastructure as Code approach. The candidate will need to analyze existing capabilities and develop a strategy for how to integrate and expand them in a sustainable way. Experience of the infrastructure side is useful but not essential, the key accountability of the role is to ensure the integrity of the software that runs the automations. The candidate will need to work closely with the infrastructure engineering team who define the infrastructure design.
