Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects, LLC in the United States is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist to support monthly close, manage vendor data, and process disbursements. You will help ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IRS regulations through 1099 handling and W-9 issuance where needed.

You’ll identify opportunities to optimize AP workflows, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and drive automation and internal controls across cash receipts and disbursements.

THE WORK:

• You’ll support the Accounts Payable function and contribute to the timely and accurate execution of the monthly financial close process.
• You’ll manage and maintain vendor master data within the ERP environment, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and aligned with established policies and controls.
• You’ll process vendor disbursements in accordance with approval requirements, internal policies, payment terms, and established financial controls.
• You’ll manage the timely issuance of vendor payments and support the accurate and compliant administration of annual 1099 forms in accordance with IRS regulations.
• You’ll prepare, maintain, and produce documentation and supporting schedules required for internal and external audits.
• You’ll issue W-9 forms as needed and support compliance with applicable IRS requirements and company policies.
• You’ll identify opportunities to optimize and automate Accounts Payable processes, with a focus on reducing SLA cycle times, minimizing manual errors, increasing operational efficiency, and improving the customer experience.
• You’ll support the development and implementation of a sound internal control environment related to cash receipts, cash disbursements, vendor payments, and other AP activities.
• You’ll manage Positive Pay activities through the banking platform and support processes designed to mitigate payment risk and strengthen financial controls.
• You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice, payment, approval, and vendor-related issues while ensuring company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• You’ll analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, standardization, and digital enablement across the Accounts Payable function.
