The engineer supports servers, networks, identity services, storage, backups, security platforms, and business applications. • Deploy and administer Google Cloud resources, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC networks, IAM, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging; support managed services used by application and data teams.
  • Manage cloud resource organization, permissions, policies, budgets, and usage; identify opportunities to improve availability, capacity, performance, and cost.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and network printers; maintain VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity across offices and cloud environments.
  • Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Group Policy, and hybrid identity integration; manage user accounts, permissions, distribution lists, security groups, and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Implement and maintain daily backups for business‑critical on‑premises and cloud systems; investigate failures, perform restorations, and test disaster recovery procedures against agreed recovery objectives.
  • Maintain endpoint protection, antivirus, and endpoint detection and response platforms; support vulnerability remediation, security hardening, access reviews, and incident response with security partners.
  • Review system, application, network, and security logs; configure monitoring and alerts, investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and document corrective actions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database instances with the DBA and application teams; investigate performance issues and perform approved ETL tasks, data transfers, and scheduled job troubleshooting.
