Responsibilities
  • Lead a team covering energy, cloud, and infrastructure procurement accounting, setting priorities across the portfolio and strengthening the technical bench strength required to support a rapidly growing infrastructure footprint

  • Lead accounting for cloud computing arrangements and committed cloud capacity
  • Serve as the accounting decision-maker on new and non-standard procurement structures, conducting comprehensive contract reviews and partnering with cross-functional partners to evaluate and document the accounting treatment and financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and cross-functional teams globally, including Supply Chain Operations, Technical Sourcing, Engineering, Product, Legal, Tax, Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting and Internal Audit, and facilitate effective communication and information flow between cross-functional business partners and the finance organization
  • Design and scale processes, systems, and internal controls to support a rapidly growing and increasingly complex infrastructure portfolio, and own the design and operating effectiveness of critical Sarbanes-Oxley controls
  • Prepare and present quarter-end financial reporting packages to Finance leadership, surfacing key insights, trends, and operational drivers, and key footnote disclosures including purchase commitments
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with external auditors on fixed asset, energy, cloud, and capital expenditure accounting matters
  • Drive process improvements and automation, including leveraging AI tooling, to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for the Infrastructure portfolio, and design scalable close processes that support growth without adding headcount at the same rate
Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft & Google tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs)
  • Experience in executing and delivering high-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
  • Experience analyzing complex accounting issues, identifying root causes, and developing solutions in ambiguous or evolving business environments
Preferred Qualifications

  • Combination of experience working in public accounting and a technology company
