Job summary

Meta seeks an accounting leader to own US GAAP accounting and financial reporting for its infrastructure portfolio, spanning energy, cloud, and procurement. You will drive scalable processes, lead a technical accounting team, and partner across Finance, Legal, Tax, and Engineering to ensure robust reporting and controls.

You will manage quarter-end close, interact with external auditors, and push automation and AI-assisted improvements to scaling challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields.
• 12+ years of accounting experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP and complex arrangements.
• SOX risk assessment and internal controls.
• Strong business acumen and cross-functional partnership.
• Effective communication with leadership.
• Understanding end-to-end systems impacting accounting & financial reporting.
• Experience with financial statements and analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft & Google tools.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience resolving complex accounting issues in evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting for energy, cloud, and infrastructure procurement.
• Review accounting for energy portfolio and significant arrangements.
• Lead cloud computing and committed cloud capacity accounting.
• Evaluate non-standard procurement structures and document accounting treatments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve information flow.
• Design scalable processes and internal controls, including SOX.
• Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages for Finance leadership.
• Coordinate with external auditors on asset and capital expenditure accounting.
• Drive process improvements and automation, including AI tooling.
• Ensure timely month-, quarter-, and year-end close for infrastructure.
