Job summary

Meta is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to tackle complex, non-routine transactions across a range of corporate accounting areas, including Infrastructure capex, Leasing, Energy, Partnerships, stock compensation and financial instruments.

You will evaluate accounting implications for new and unusual transactions, prepare memos, and communicate clear conclusions, while partnering with international teams on US GAAP to IFRS bridge and SEC disclosures.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Technical Accounting Advisory, Financial Statement Auditing, or similar roles.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or equivalent qualification with US GAAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate accounting impacts to various business partners including Legal, Tax, and Finance.
• Monitor and interpret new accounting pronouncements.
• Update Meta accounting policies as needed.
• Facilitate trainings on accounting topics for Meta personnel.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can tackle complex, non-routine transactions across a variety of corporate accounting areas, including Infrastructure capex, Leasing, Energy, Partnerships, Stock compensation and Financial Instruments.

Manager, Technical Accounting and Policy Responsibilities:

• Evaluate accounting implications for new and unusual transactions
• Prepare memos and presentations, evaluate multiple viewpoints, and communicate clear conclusions
• Interpret US GAAP and SEC guidance for financial reporting and internal controls, including during contract structuring
• Work with international teams to bridge US GAAP to IFRS
• Partner with SEC reporting teams for disclosure requirements
• Communicate accounting impacts to various business partners including Legal, Tax, and Finance

Minimum Qualifications:

• 12+ years in Technical Accounting Advisory, Financial Statement Auditing, or similar roles
• Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting or finance
• CPA or equivalent qualification with US GAAP experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience interacting with the SEC, FASB, or IASB on comment letters, standard-setting projects, or regulatory submissions
• Experience in technical accounting or accounting policy at a large public company or Big 4 accounting firm
• Experience leading accounting policy adoption projects for newly issued accounting standards across a multinational organization
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
