Lockheed Martin in Santa Barbara, CA seeks an Infrared Sensor Systems Testing and Integration Engineer to design, build, and execute sensor test campaigns, ensuring hardware and software integration for flight qualification. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field with 1+ years of professional experience; or a related Master’s degree ; or an equivalent combination of professional experience and demonstrated technical competency in lieu of a degree.
• Experience coding in a scripting language to include MATLAB, C, C++, SQL, Java, HTML, or Python.
• Experience in working in a laboratory setting, testing hardware and electronics.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and experience in probing electronics and/or circuit cards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and execute test campaigns that validate sensor performance.
• Set up and operate laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and network analyzers.
• Build, modify, and integrate sensor prototypes with firmware and software drivers.
• Execute functional, environmental, and performance tests; analyze data.
• Automate test sequences and data processing using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, SQL, Java, or HTML.
• Generate test reports and recommendations for design improvements.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support production units by qualifying new builds and updating test documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and suppliers to align tests with schedule and cost.
