Job summary

Boston University IS&T is seeking a Systems Administrator III to manage and maintain server operating systems, hypervisors, storage, and related hardware and software, ensuring reliability and security of enterprise IT systems. You will work on medium- to high-complexity projects as a project leader or SME across multiple technical areas and business segments.

You will investigate new technologies, apply upgrades, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with server operating systems, hypervisors, storage, and related hardware and software.
• Demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain server operating systems, hypervisors, processes, storage, and related hardware and software.
• Lead or contribute as a project leader or SME across multiple technical areas and business segments.
• Provide off-hours on-call support and assistance during incidents; serve as Level 2 technical support for the Help Desk.
• Coordinate with vendors on problem resolution; detect, diagnose, isolate, and correct system faults; support incident and problem management.
