Job summary

BackOps in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Manager for Infrastructure and Security who will own reliability and security posture across all platforms. You will build and lead a high-performing team responsible for multi-cloud and on-prem deployments, private networking, SLOs, identity and access, and SOC 2 controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing engineers and leading infra/security teams.
• Strong hands-on background in infrastructure or security engineering.
• Experience with cloud platforms and multi-cloud deployments.
• Track record turning mandates into measurable delivery.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability and security posture across BackOps infrastructure.
• Lead, mentor, and grow the infra and security team.
• Own multi-cloud and on‑prem deployment, SLOs, and networking.
• Ensure identity and least-privilege access and secrets management.
• Integrate security into CI/CD and shipping processes.
• Translate risk pictures for leadership and customers.
